For the first time, I am happy to announce a contest for us older students as well. Prizes will go to the top 2 contributors to this site between now and May 1, 2008. Any registered user of Homeschool Infocenter 16 years or older may participate.

Points will be assigned for different types of content. After May 1, I will add up all the points and award $30 and $20 PrizmArt gift certificates to the first and second place contributors respectively.

• 10 points Book recommendation for one of the educational approaches listed (1)

Sorry for the delay in judging, but I am now happy to announce the winners for the Infocenter parent contest.

First place goes to Lisa Miller of Ohio. She contributed to the community in several of the categories. Most helpfully, she looked for places in the web links area that needed extra choices and submitted sites for those categories. I have not had time to review them yet, but you can look forward to seeing those appear on the site over the next month or two.

Second place goes to Julie Park of West Virginia. She also contributed in multiple areas, and she made several excellent book recommendations.

Years ago I used to enter all of the events and other information myself, but as new cities are added it will take my full time to add new functionality for the community. The usefulness of the site is really dependent on parents like you with a heart to share information with other parents.
